An inspection's duration is the time a user has taken to conduct that inspection. You can use inspection durations to track you and your team's productivity and gain insights into how long it usually takes to complete inspections across your organization.
Take note
Inspection durations are recorded differently between the web app and the mobile app:
- Mobile app: An inspection's duration is recorded whenever a user is in the edit screen of the inspection, including edits made after inspection completion.
- Web app: An inspection's duration is recorded and updated whenever a user moves between inspection pages or completes the inspection. In addition, the duration is updated every five minutes. If an inspection has been marked as complete, inspection duration for editing via the web app will no longer be recorded.

Assigning an action to an external assignee allows you to assign actions to people outside your organization without having an AuditBranch account. They can update the status, comment, and even add media to provide more context.
Take note
1. External assignee can only update the action status and add comments and media attachments, but not view the inspection report.
2. External assignees are notified via email of the actions they're assigned.
3. If you want external assignees to collaborate beyond just actions, learn how to invite people to your AuditBranch organization as users.
The Actions feature allows you to identify, track, and complete tasks as a team. You can create actions to highlight a problem that needs fixing as you're walking through an inspection, or create standalone actions on the go, without having to start an inspection. Each action includes a built-in chat and activity feed, where your team members can collaborate. All with built-in timestamps so you can keep track of everyone's interaction from start to finish.
Take note
1. Actions created from inspections are only visible to assignees and users who have access to the relevant inspections. Any photos and notes that are added to the inspection question will be included as well.
2. Standalone actions are open to everyone in your AuditBranch organization.
3. By default, the creator of the action will be selected as the assignee.
